In San Francisco is the crookedest street in the world, Lombard. It is a back and forth short street of only a few blocks long down, or up, a hill not too far from the waterfront where the cable cars turn around on their runs across the city.

IT IS VERY FAMOUS, NOT REALLY VERY HARD TO FIND FROM ONE OF THE CABLE CAR LINES

Both are true. SF is a lovely place to visit, expensive to live. People are leaving because they cannot afford to live there, even with good jobs in famous restaurants.
