Animals are used for medical research for many years, especially mice. Personally I don't think that is humane to use animals for this BUT I don't think that we should stop it because thanks to them million of lives saved every day because new medicines are created. What is your opinion about this?

There is a need to use animals (or something closer to human beings) for research at some point. Mice reproduce very fast and have other traits that make them important to use in an experiment. Even human beings are used for research at some point, but they have to accept it. When a new med is needed to be checked, several times they offer them to terminal patients. They are human guinea pigs and sometimes that helps saving lives.

Yes I have also heard about this, terminal patients have nothing to lose, maybe they will be cured by this new med

@nick2345 Some people told me not to have chemo when I had my lymphoma, stage 4. I had nothing to lose. I´m here and the lymphoma is on remission. And my friend Coral ( @TheSojourner ) was told she´d live only months some years ago.

It would be impossible to do in vivo research without lab animals, that's good for humans but bad for the test animals.

if it can help the nature get better and more beautiful,i think it's fine to use the animals for research. But if Animals feel very painful and cureless,we shall let them die peacefully and painlessly

If the animals are not hurting then its okay to use them for research. But is it always possible to keep the animals free from hurting during research?

@debjani1 No the most of the animals die but think about this, if they didn't many humans would have lost their lives. So in my opinion it is better if an untested medicine kill a mouse than a human
