it is classic production in jingdezhen,the city have been well known with produce porcelain. this rice pattern decorated porcelain,light could penetrate through the rice hole. it is delicate,i love them very much.

I have a dish very, very similar to your blue one. It comes with a cover. I never knew that it could be used to serve rice and other things with it. Wow! Thank you! Mystery solved.

this is a characteristic skill in jdz porcelain,they made those rice shape or other pattern hole on the clay adobe,then covered glaze ,the hole would be filled with the glaze,finally,burned over 1300 degree centigrade,we will gain the complete article. this hole filled with glaze could make light through out,that design would make the porcelain more beautiful~~
