A handful of chefs in the state of Alabama worked together at the Acre restaurant in Auburn Alabama recently to raise funds for the victims of the March 3, 2019 EF 4 tornado that claimed the lives of 23 people.
The charity event called "Bourbon & Beef" which a supper which the funds of $34,000 dollars were raised by the sales of two dinners and two bourbon bottles that were auctioned off for charity.
The money that was raised for the event will go to the "Mend" fund that was created by the East Alabama Medical Center after the tornado destroyed Lee County and surrounding counties at night where the disasters are even worse than dealing with a daytime tornado.
It is nice to see chefs in Alabama team up to assist people in need.
