I can think of two that sounded really strange on the face of them, but I ended up really liking them. One was Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer, the other was Cowboys and Aliens. They both sounded really weird on the face of them.,but they both had a Sci Fi, Supernatural kind of vibe. I am not normally into that kind of movie that much but I really liked these. They were just novel and creative. What about you? What movie did you like that you did not expect to?

@snowy22315 I really like the Irish music they used while the boat was leaving the harbor (and then re-used to tickle our emotions). I ignored that overplayed song at the end. I disliked it the first time I heard it.

@TheHorse I liked it but enough was enough.

@snowy22315 That pop song at the end was for the "unwashed masses," as far as I was concerned.

Those movies don't appeal to me, even though I like sci-fi. The movie I expected to hate because of all the hype about it being bad to watch as a Christian, was Harry Potter. When I took the dare from my son and watched the first one, I was hooked. I love the series. I've also read all the books which are far better than the movies.

I didn't read the books, the movies are good, but due to their length and the dark colors, I found myself following asleep during most of them.

@just4him I don't typically fall asleep during movies unless I am watching hem late at night on the kindle, but something about Harry Potter just did it to me.

@snowy22315 I tend to fall asleep during movies too. I don't know why, but the third one took me forever to watch it beginning to end without falling asleep. It's certainly not a slow movie.

I am sure I watched a movie not long time ago thinking that I would have not liked a lot, but I liked. I have to remember which one. We watch so many movies. I checked my Amazon orders, the title is Flesh and Fantasy, it's an old 1943 American film, my husband wanted to buy it, I was skeptical, but I liked.

I know there have been some that pleasantly surprised me. I can't think of any at the moment.

That was pretty good. But I thought I would like it. Love Story and The Way We Were were sadder though.

@TheHorse You never saw them on TV?? I saw them both on TV. I wasn't allowed to go to Love Story when it was in the theater.

BirdBox and Delirium. They are on Netflix. My mother recommended I should watch them with her. I kinda didn't want to, but I ended up liking both movies.

Can't think of a title offhand. Probably too many.

They were good. I was a huge Batman fan as a kid. I am talking about the original series with Adam West. I wore a watch just so I could go in to watch Batman when I was outside playing..!
