Obesity is one of the top problems in our country with diabetes on the rise. What do you think should be done about this?

Nothing 'should be done'. By whom? People have to care for themselves. Nobody is forced to become obese. Your post would make more sense if you mentioned your country on your account page.

I gained a lot when I was in the US for a year. I ate a lot of unhealthy foods and binge with mostly sweets. Now that I am back in the Philippines, I started eating in moderation and maintain a healthy lifestyle by workout.

People must understand that eating wrong causes both problems. No one can oblige people to take care of their bodies, this is something that everyone must do.

Proper exercise and proper diet can help to control the obesity.

It would depend on if you mean a personal level or as a whole. As a whole healthy food needs to be cheaper, there's families struggling and can feed a big family with unhealthy food or fast food and have money left over but can't do that with healthy food at all. Personal, i think look at why you eat so much, when I watch 600lb life every single episode the people had gone through a traumatic thing and turned to food and when they started therapy they were able to deal with it and not have food become an escape.
