Finally a great day and just back from my second walk. Will do more later this afternoon. Does anyone here do any fishing? The early season is the perfect to introduce kids to the joy of fishing. When I was a kid enjoy fishing very much. Kids love the challenge The photo was taken late afternoon and trying to capture the light from the sun and clouds effect.I thought that this was pretty cool.

I do! I do! I love to fish and I have and will always teach kids to fish, and adults too if they ask. I also clean them and cook them

Yes, I go into the supermarket and catch salmon and tilapia every week--don't even have to hook the poor worm! I am listening to Cassie's The Dance and the Mirror so I can be ready to go see ACL with you!! It hasn't been produced here--not even in a local theatre---for years! I need a fix!

I disagreed when we talent the week up north in a cabin with family when I was still in school. Then as I got older I would go but take a look to read to get a better than and hang out with those fishing. I doubt I'd volunteer to go again anytime soon. Edited/Translated Edition, (what I could figure out or remember) I disagreed (no clue) when we spent the week up north in a cabin with family...etc. Then as I got older I would go but take a book to read to get a better tan and hang out with those fishing. In addition: I know that I went fishing before or about the time I was in my teenage years, but I didn't enjoy it all that much and that's why I began reading on the water rather than fishing. I think it's still good to introduce kids to fishing.

No but I wish I did. The places for me to fish around here are a bit far..and would not be safe for me to go by myself. Shame as I love fishing.

My husband and son and I used to go fishing quite often, but we haven't been fishing in years. I think that once our son became a teenager and had a part time job, we were too busy either driving him to work, or enjoying meals out while he was at work.

My husband used to fish years ago and started back doing it last year. He likes sea fishing and beach fishing, Its very different now than it was years ago he says. The amount of equipment used in fishing is now is crazy compared to years ago. He has a whole shed now full of different rods and reels and line and lures and gadgets and clothing. It goes on and on. He goes out now weighed down with boxes of stuff.

I grew up fishing on the Rockies of Utah. I caught mostly trout there. Here in Wisconsin the only place I have much luck is catching Small Mouth Bass in the Sheboygan River. I've tried fishing off the piers on Lake Michigan but can't seem to get those salmon and walleyes to bite. My kids liked fishing with me when they were younger, but each if them lost interest when they became teenagers. I'm hoping my grandkids will have more longevity with it. lol

@ParaTed2k yes trout fishing is great.Yes the sport of fishing goes away when teen agers. Most become addicted to their devices. It is a shame.Being outdoor and just enjoy fishing.I loved it

@amadeo Well, my kids became teenagers before devices took over, but teens have always been consumed by their distractions. ;-)

@amadeo I know but this is horrible. Catch-and-release fishing is cruelty disguised as “sport.” Studies showed that most fishes released die of shock. Hooked fish struggle out of fear and physical pain. People should imagine what they would feel having a hook in their mouth, struggling to breath and then being thrown back in pain.

What a beautiful photo! My husband has always loved to fish, whether it was in a creek, pond, or river. Not too much in the ocean, though. He's planning fish this week.

@amadeo Ah yes, unfortunately we did. the snow wasn't too bad itself, but the winds made visibility low, snowing now, too.
