Who Loves to Garden?

This is my very first post, so I decided to write about gardening in this post. If you also like to garden, like houseplants, have some great tips or need help, comment below! It's that time of year to begin thinking about what I want to plant. I live in lower Michigan, so we may still get some snow this spring. I did a lot of seed trading last fall in Facebook groups, so I'm looking forward to planting them soon. I have several Rose of Sharon plants, that bloom all different shades of pinks, white, purple, and I just got some seeds for blue. If you receive food stamps, you can buy any food producing seeds and plants, as long as the store already accepts food stamps for food. Meijers, Family Dollar and Dollar General are just a few of the stores that you can buy them from. I start a lot of my veggies from store bought. Last year I bought the biggest tomato I could find, and just sliced it and planted it. You can start fruit trees like that too. A lot of people are regrowing veggies, by planting the cuttings in dirt or water. I've been saving my pop and juice bottles to use as a vertical planters... I'm going to wire them to my fence and build a living fence. I have some pictures I saved for ideas that I will post. Thanks for reading this far, and please let me know how I did on my very first MyLot post!

I would love to garden (flowers are so beautiful) if I could keep them alive but I seem to overcompensate. Oh well, at least I know how to keep my children and pets alive! That's super important. =) This was a great discussion! Welcome to Mylot by the way, I hope you love it here.

Thanks a lot, you could try planting in a couple of posts, herbs and a tomato plant. Just grab a water bottle, poke holes in the top, fill with water and stick top side into the pot. It will release water as needed. I understand, for some reason I can't grow pumpkins and watermelons.

Growing your own vegetables is a thing of those who can survive in this world for long compared to those who are dependent on others in case of a total wipe-out of our current world system.
