I’m very very new to this journey but as I go along I also try to encourage the people around me to do the same. Of course I don’t push them, I do it randomly very casual. It makes me sad to see ocean creatures suffer from human use of plastic. Some great tips are on the above image while below are what I currently do to support this journey. • Use of shampoo and conditioner bars instead of shampoos in plastic bottles • Use of menstrual cloth pads • Choosing plastic free delivery options when I order online whenever possible • Since I always bring my own food to work, I always have spoon and fork that I also use when eating something else not just my packed lunch Do you support the “no to single use plastic” cause too? Let’s share ideas here. *image from thelachatupdate.com

We do not use plastic - single use of multi use. We have a 0% waste footprint... Everything we use either becomes composted or fuels / heats our home. Our electricity is wind / sun and tide powered, our car is electric - from wind power. The food we consume is caught / killed / gathered by myself or my friends - all within a 6 mile radius (our island is 6 miles x 3 miles). We can not order food on line as we live over 300 miles (over water) from the nearest fast food / take away outlet! There are times when I would love a take away!

Oh my! I love it. I love how you live. I love everything that you said. It is like a secret goal for me to live that way really but I’m not sure yet how I can achieve it. I salute you and your friends and everyone who are living without using any plastic.

Trying to. I never saw the point with straws anyway, except for blowing bubbles in my milk glass :-) I have reusable bags that I have had for so long that they're getting there to being better than plastic bags (water use, CO2, etc, not just ending up somewhere in nature). I'm quite good at recycling, but I don't shop a lot , so the amount of wrapping is limited.
