Do you like to fish?

There is a lot of fishing around this area. Some people get involved in bass tournaments that have thousands of dollars as a prize. The board president here gave permission for a bass tournament in exchange for building an enclosed picnic grove iin this community and of course alot of the community members just complained and said he was personally benefitting from the tournament, oh please, I am no fan of the de facto President here, but I would never accuse him of lining his pockets. I like to fish..but have never caught a fish big enough to eat. I would probably feel sorry for it and throw it back anyway.

Yes I like to fish. I caught an 80 pound mahi mahi several years ago in Mexico.

That is cool. Did you have it processed? Do you have it in your freezer?

@snowy22315 The mate fileted it and then we had a restaurant cook it for us. Can't bring fish back from Mexico.

I have never tried to fish, even if you throw the fish back int he water most of them die due to the stress, of the fact they are hurt by the hook, not something I want to do. I can imagine how horrible it could be if someone would put a hook in my mouth.

Usually they are ok if you throw them back but not always. TTheire nervous system is not as xeve!op-ed as ours but they still no doubt feel some pain.

@snowy22315 I feel so sad for them, I could use a net for the pleasure to catch a fish and then immediately release it.

I do love to fish... so much so, I moved to a remote island full of fishing spots and great fishing... However, I started working as a professional fisherman, fishing 12 hours a day and that killed the hobby for me! I would fish for a living and the last thing I would want to do on my days off is . . . go fishing! I have now made my money and can retire early, so I'm eyeing up all those spots!

That's the thing when you do what you love as a job, in many cases it ceases being fun.

I haven't tried fishing. Maybe it's fun if there's lot of fishes on the water.

It is fun, even if you don't catch anything which is usually my fate!

I'd be like you, throw it back. I'm not a fisherperson. That was my father and my late brother. I hope they have fun with the tournament.
