A happy day turns into a slightly odd day.

I had great fun working with the toddlers at my friend's preschool today. Two 1 1/2-year-olds have decided I'm their best friend there, and we had great fun playing in the sand and with little plastic fish that attach to each other.
But when I got home, I spied a strange sight: a $50 bill on the carpet in my speaker refinishing area. Apparently, the owner of the tuner case I recently restored didn't get my email message saying I had to cancel our morning appointment due to being called into work.
He came by, entered my apartment, grabbed the case and left a fifty dollar bill on my floor.
All's well that ends well, I suppose, but my neighbor was alarmed by an anonymous man entering my apartment and removing something that was there.
She emailed me, and I wrote her back, letting her know that all was OK.

Hey, the way I see it this is all good news. He got the speakers and you got the money. All I want to know is how did he get in your apartment?

Window, his pretend son has used it before.

Well, he got his and you got yours. All good, right?
What I love is that he put the $50 where the speaker was.
I left my sister birthday money in her empty fridge, she did have a few Dr. Peppers so I knew she would grab one when she came home, it was a surprise.

Did the person at least leave the amount you wanted for fixing his tuner? Don't you keep your doors locked, and if so how was he able to get in? Good thing you have someone watching out for your place.
It's funny. the majority of us were worried about how he gained entrance into your home.

@TheHorse I might forget at night or if running a quick errand but I try to remember to lock it each time.

@lyndakerby It's a delicate balance sometimes, isn't it? I'm glad she let me know, actually. We all look out for each other here in the Complex.

I never really had any sense of anything being "wrong," but it was an odd situation. I had written him via email to cancel our appointment (I got called into work). I don't know if he never got the note or simply decided to stop by anyway.

Glad you knew what was happening. But great that you have a neighbor that watches.

Great! Hope more earnings for us all! I'm at only 3.66 yet so I got a ways to go.

I would panic if someone entered my house in my absence. Hope things are okay and safe.

@arunima25 I've been a good boy and have been remembering to lock my door recently.
