Hey all! How are you?
Right now it is nearing the end of Wednesday night, and I'm about to hit hot bath therapy then bed but......
I left work today around 2:30 for a dentist appointment.
I've had grossness leaking into my mouth since March 24th, from an abcess, and finally got to go in to have it looked for.
I expected him to take x-rays, and give me antibiotics and tell me to come back.
He took x-rays and said, "Well, that has to come out." It was infected AND cracked all the way down the root.
So I ended up having a tooth pulled today. It surprised me because I didn't think they would pull a tooth if it was infected.
The tooth itself came out easy, then when he squeezed the infection out afterwards that was SOOOO gross. I could feel the fluids over the back of my tounge and taste it. It was awful. He swabed and suctioned it all up, but still...
I'm sad I lost the last molar on that side, but happy to have the infection gone. I'll start my antibiotics tomorrow when hubby picks them up, and I hope to avoid any more dental issues for a while, please and thank you!

Its funny how some people say they don't pull and infected tooth and some saying they do. Clearly mine did. I guess it must vary from dentist to dentist.

@nonersays They usually do not to avoid the infection to spread to other teeth. In your case as it already dripped in your mouth it's different.

I'm sure I'll be fine once the stitches come out and the antibiotics work.

Yes they pull them now if they are infected, its safer, because its poisoning your entire system.

It's not all gone yet, but hopefully will be by the time I take all my antibiotics.
