How Is Your Day Going So Far?

Good morning all! How is your morning going? Mine is okay, I was able to sleep longer than a couple of hours. I actually slept for 5 hours. Yay!
We went grocery shopping yesterday and bought what we needed for Easter. We couldn't decide what meat to get. My brother wasn't sure if he wanted ham or not which is what we usually have. He finally decided to have ham after all. He is also going to make a coconut cake which is so good. He made it last year. I don't know what's into him baking all of a sudden. He usually doesn't bake as that's my department. He cooks and I bake. But this is something he really wants to do and he does bake really well.
So, are you celebrating Easter? If so, what are you going to have for dinner? Are you having family over? This year it will be only my brother and I which is probably good since he still isn't feeling good. I hope everyone has a great day!

I have no idea yet what I'm making for dinner on Sunday. I'm just not that organized. I still need to decide what I'm making for the potluck supper tonight.

My day is going alright, thank you for asking. :)
I've been at work for about 3 hours so far. I'm a little tired after having stayed up late getting some writing finished last night.
I don't celebrate Easter but I am looking forward to a few days off work.
Tomorrow, my partner, sons, and I will be going to my parents' (as I usually do on a Friday. We didn't go last week because my son was not well so we haven't seen my parents for two weeks). We will most likely see my little niece and nephew there. Then, we are having a games afternoon/evening with my older nephew.
Saturday, I'm abandoning my boys for the day! :D I'm doing something I've never done before - travelling on my own on a train to one of my favourite places for a girls' day with my best friend! She's never been there before but she's travelling from her parents' caravan that is in the next town. Our plan, I think, is for me to show her around my favourite establishments - eateries, pubs, museums, gaming cafes - and forget the rest of the world for the day. I think my boys are looking forward to it, too, because they get to spend the day together doing whatever they want without me!
I've got a couple of other days off work next week when I'll be spending time with nieces and nephews. Not sure what I'm doing with the little ones but going to an escape room with the older ones.
All that's missing for me is that we won't get to see the daughters and granddaughters.
As you may be able to tell, I am very excited about these plans. There is also a good chance I'll be spending a lot of time sleeping!

We as celebrate Easter this weekend on Sunday. We are going to family members house so it’s going to be a long day. The kids are sleeping over at my parents house on Saturday.

@simone10 yes I know but it’s a lot of work because we have to drive house to house which means we don’t always get to eat or relax.

We went this morning grocery shopping. We will have two friends for lunch and we will be alone for dinner. Asparagus are on the Italian tables for Easter, so I will make an asparagus risotto, followed by smoked salmon and crumpets. I refuse to bake a lamb, it is traditional food here, but they are too cute, I am not eating a lamb.

So glad you slept well!
I am celebrating Passover and no baking involved for us. We always celebrate holidays with a family dinner, but we are alone here, so will have a few friends over for our holiday. Since we don't celebrate Easter, we will enjoy a good steak and roasted veggies, perhaps a potato, and definitely a salad. We never eat bread at home with dinners, and it's a no-no for our holiday. Dessert? Don't eat that either. My husband is on a diet, and we stay away from sugary desserts.
Have a happy Easter!

I am Jewish and we are celebbrating our holiday of Passover starting Friday night and it last for 7 days. I had a phone call and hoped that what it was about was figured out. I was very lucky the person's daughter could figure it out. He called me back to tell me that he was wrong and his daughter figured it out. I was glad of that.

I don't think I'm doing anything major for Easter, just gonna visit my family. maybe we'll just do Easter breakfast or something small
I mostly like the day after, when all the chocolate is on sale
