If you found a wallet with 500 dollars in it would you give it back?

I would probably drop it off at the local police station.

yes, I would have given it back to him also espically if their was ID in it. I would expect the same thing if my wallet was lost too.

I will try to track down of the owner and return it to him/her. I bet he/she needs it very important and its a pity if he/she wont find the money.

I have actually found wallets with sums of cash in them, always I have turned them in either to the police, or tried to locate the owner. All too often that amount could be the difference between having a descent month for someone or not being able to eat properly. On the other hand, I have had amounts taken from me which had a negative effect. I couldn't sleep at night feeling I may have affected someone's life negatively by keeping something which wasn't mine.

I have found check books, wallet's and if there is information in them, I will return, if not I am spending the money!!!!

yes i would return it if i had the contact details of the person who lost the wallet or hand it over to the police.

I'l check it first if the wallet has my name on it.
