Hi friends!
You haven’t seen me in days, because it’s our holiday, too. We celebrate Passover, not Easter, so I had lots of shopping, cleaning and cooking to do.
We had guests for our first night’s Seder or dinner Friday night and attended one Saturday night.
I chose this photo with the sun shining on my husband, because a friend of mine calls him a Saint. He’s such a wonderful human being to all who know him.
Happy Passover, Happy Easter, Happy Holiday, Happy Life to you all!

Happy Passover to you Dianne!!!! (is that a proper way to greet Jewish people for this holiday?)
I'm thankful that both Jews and Christians can peacefully celebrate their holidays together in this country without violence. It would be nice if that were the case around the rest of the world as well.
Are there saints in the Hebrew religion, or is that just a figure of speech used to describe your husband?
Anyway, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

@DianneN That's wonderful that you got to attend a service at St. Paul's! Hopefully, it was in English and not in Latin, so that you could understand the message!
When I was in Boy Scouts, there would always be religious services offered during big weekend camping trips when many scout troops would come together (they called them Jamborees). We always made a point to attend the religious service of other denominations and other religions to get a better understanding of their faith and customs. One thing I learned is that no matter what religion, we all worshiped a higher power, and we all wanted peace on earth and to love our fellow man. Such a shame that in reality many people who profess to be religious don't practice what they preach!

Happy Easter to you and your family, Jeff. Happy Passover is perfect.
We attended a Good Friday mass at St. Paul's Cathedral in London while on vacation. They were turning away tourists, so I told them we were worshipers. We received a nice tour and stayed for the sermon. It's message was how Christians and Jews should get along. We were very happy to hear it.
There are no saints in Judaism. My Irish Catholic friend dubbed my husband a saint years ago, and it stuck. lol

@moffittjc Yes, it was in English. lol. The hymns were in Latin, but we only stayed to hear a few before the sermon and left afterwards.
We have mixed marriages in our family - Catholics and Protestants - and everyone gets along so well. It is rotten how many don't practice what they preach here in the US and all over the world. There is way to much hatred, ignorance, and stupidity in many hearts.

I did miss you a lot.
Happy Passover to you and your family.
Though I have heard of Easter and have seen my Christian friends celebrating it, I am hearing about passover for the first time. I know you are Jews and so it must be a Jewish celebration. That is beauty of being on a diverse community like mylot. I would like to know more about it.. It's significance and how you celebrate it??

Aww, thank you. It's so good to see you again!
Very briefly, it's the major Jewish spring festival commemorating the freedom of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery by Moses. Our ritual meal recalls the Exodus from Egypt and is held the first and second nights of the 8 day holiday.
