The Mediterranean Coast at Haifa

On the northern border of Israel is the city of Haifa. Far off to the north is 'Lebanon, and at the bottom of the photo are the gardens of the B'na Brith world headquarters, very beautifully landscaped. unfortunately, soon after we were there was a terrible dire in the area with destroyed much of the countryside. This high point in the country of Israel is the Old Testament site of Mt. Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah had his famous contest with the priests of Baal.
