We had earthquake

Philippines
April 22, 2019 9:10am CST
I was about to leave the house when we felt the shake , I immediately made me took grandma outside. Not sure why but some people were second guessing if the quake happened, but all of them felt a bit dizzy. Good thing my niece was outside when this happened. But I warned her to stay way from the post because of the live wires. It's been the talk of tonight. Commuters who were with me had conversation about what to do if you're doing ATM withdrawals during earth quake. Philvocs indicates Tetonic plates movements under ground. Makes me wonder sometimes if there's a country that developed weapon that could make earthquakes. Now, reminds me of that movie Under siege 2. Have a safe day.

Where is your location? Good thing you and your family are safe. We felt it here too in Bataan. Earthquakes are really scary. Have you seen the news on what happened to one supermarket and the church in Porac Pampanga?

I was on my bed yesterday playing ML. And then suddenly the bed shook. And my surrounding was shaking too. And that was the time I stopped what I was doing and sit still.

I am glad you’re safe there. It seems pampanga is the one badly hit by this quake. I am just fortunate enough that I was not there when it happened as I am still in my province when it happened. I am bound to go back tomorrow.

Hello @rsa101 Some of the building were just not earth quake proof and some people including a kid were victims of debris.

I don't think any country has developed a weapon to cause earthquakes and I hope they never do.

The Philippines have a lot of earthquakes (since you’re in that so-called “Pacific Rim ring of Fire”). Do you “get used” to them (the way people in California do here in America), or does each one scare you?

We felt it too but the tremor was moderate. Some in our place were even unaware it happen. That is an interesting question about the ATM's. Will the withdrawal process be interrupted and the machines go off-line during an earthquake?

Hello @josie_ Don't know much about what they talk about, but they were more scared of the ATM eating their card. It happened to me before.
