Can earnings increase if you don't focus on them and visualize the bank increasing?

I heard some people say here that if you don't focus on the earnings here, forget about them, or stop constantly checking the bank that they will increase. Really? Doesn't seem to be working... Some people also say (not on this site) that if you visualize something it can materialize. If I visualize the earnings increasing (and by a lot) will they actually increase and by more than mere pennies? Somehow, I don't think that will be the case... Or I'd be rich already...

As in real life, you reap what you sow. To be honest, I've visualized traveling to certain countries and eventually it happened.

@lovebuglena So sorry. I hope you do get to Paris. I used to read of places in books and romanticized them. Little by little we got to those places and they were just as I had pictured in my mind.

@DianneN I used to fantasize about being in Paris and with the love of my life... That was always a dream of mine... Hopefully, it happens one day soon.

Maybe I should visualize being in Paris with hubby and that will result in us finally going to our honeymoon in Paris, which never happened after we got married.

I find when I'm deep in conversation with someone back and forth back and forth...the bank grows without my thinking about it. I have online friends here from all over; and we are getting to know each other. Have a good weekend.

It's cool to be able to have a back and forth conversation with someone (hopefully staying on topic).

It's okay to dream and to continue dreaming.. but eventually the amount of work has to tally too..

@lovebuglena I see. I know about Hubpages but heard that you have to have a certain amount of quality articles for you to see some earnings, right?

@lovebuglena Wow.. how long did you spend writing those articles?

If you think you will get rich in here, you will be very disappointed, as it just won’t happen, regardless whether you watch your earnings grow or you don’t. Just stay active and interact and it will all add up eventually. It really isn’t about the money anyway, as it is about having fun, making friends, and commenting and responding. I never worry about mine, as I know I will get it in time anyway.

@lovebuglena I agree as the earnings we do make here are a nice bonus. I have been here off and on for several years, and I have enjoyed my time here immensely. I have lots of fun interacting as that is what it is all about anyway. I have made the payout lots of times, although not for quite awhile. I am not worried though as I will get it in time, and that is all that matters.

I definitely do not think I will get rich here. Nor do I think I will ever make $5 in one month and on a regular basis. It's never happened to me. And I've been here for three years I think. One reason I am here (as many others are) is for the opportunity to earn something. But I am not here mainly for that otherwise it would be a complete waste of time. I enjoy being here, sharing my thoughts, and interacting with others. The (low) earnings are just a bonus.

No, I don't think this is true. If I am not active I don't see a cent in my earnings.

Well, you can actually not be active on a given day but still see some earnings when people interact with something you already posted.

Wouldn’t life be a little better if that were true? Lol on the plus side, at least the pennies will add up and eventually make you rich
