There is something Philippine television is better at than American television

I am not really a fan of Filipino shows because they use a lot of cliches and tropes but I love the fact tv networks at least respects their fans. If a TV show have low ratings, they do end the show but they wont cancel it in cliffhanger . They will still make a proper ending even though the show have a shorter lived run so fans of that show will still be happy. In American tv if a show have bad ratings they will not bother making an ending. In fact they will cancel it in 3 episodes! Heck they even cancel tv show with good ratings because they just feel like it. I thought Netflix is different but recently Netflix had been cancelling shows after 3 seasons and all the shows ends in cliffhanger! Apparently they do this because they have a contract that a show that makes season 4 will get bonuses. To avoid giving bonuses they will cancel shows even if it has positive reviews and huge fanbase. American television networks and streaming networks are jerks for cancelling shows without making a proper ending!

I heard that Netflix is having some problems with many partners now that some of the movies that are available on them have withdrawn from the site and some like disney is creating their own version of the app that’s why the marvel movies are gone in their list anymore.

@rsa101 I still have some shows left and I hope they wont get cancelled. Netflix loves cancelling shows after season 3.

Jessica Jones is their only Marvel show left. Which is really sad. I am still bitter from the cancellation of Santa Clarita diet. I want to watch more zombiefied Drew Barrymoore.

I signed on the petition to save it. Petition helped Sense8 fans to have their proper ending. Apparently its ratings is high but Netflix cancelled because they dont want to give it a bonus. a show that gets a 4th season is said to be given a bonus. Netflix rather make romcoms of Noah Centineo

Except from movies intended to be a cinematic universe. When they flop the planned sequels are gone

@LadyDuck I just signed a petition to save an American show I really love but I only got 10 thousand signatures. I need to have at least 1 million to get Netflix's attention.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I have never found a sequel to a movie that was good.

They will lose loyal audiences if they are doing it without notice.Maybe Filipino producers know their audience well.

At this moment, Netflix is now doing what American free tv has been doing. They forgot their customers are paying

The competition of the 2 major tv networks in the Philippines could be instrumental in how the shows are running. Each of the 2 networks has captured followers there are loyalists and there are also swingers. I am both as 80 percent I go for one and watched 20 percent of the other. The networks have followers and fans to please, if they cut short a show they lost their audience to the competitor.

At least both networks will actually make proper endings before wrapping out a low rating show. In America they are merciless to fans even if the reviews are positive.

@CaptAlbertWhisker that's a sad state for those working on the show, you are right merciless, just the apt work to describe it.
