What is your online target?

I used to go target shooting; it has been a few years since I have gone. One nice thing about target practice, you know what your goal is, and it's easy to see if you've achieved it. When I started writing online, I was injured, out of work, bored. I was just passing the time, and maybe trying to improve my writing skills. As time went on, I didn't just want to write, I wanted people to read what I wrote. I was pleased when my traffic went up, unhappy when it went down. Now it's the same way with money. I have a certain figure in mind, and if I don't meet that goal, I'm frustrated. I have a target, but it keeps moving. How about you? Do you have goals for your online activity?

I follow a routine here and that's it.

For me it's hit or miss here. I do it for a bit of entertainment when I'm not doing something else. My goals are more for my blog and my HubPages. Not that I'm really making a killing there either.

I can't set up a particular goal here in terms of monetary figure. I do surveys but these things are not within our control so does writing here. If no one gets to interact you earn nothing.

True, but one learns what kind of discussions attract interaction. Anyway, a goal is just something to shoot for, it does not mean you will reach it.

@norcalI hope I will be able to determine the kind of topic that will stir up more interactions.

I tend to do a fair amount of writing on upwork for clients--and my poetry --my groups and submitting to journals is about all I have time for. I like the opportunity to just chat here

@norcal Yup--most poetry submissions are done online now--and upwork is an online freelancing site

Simply to keep my diary here instead of another book to join the many I have in the closet--I have been keeping a diary since I was 10! :O)

It's kind of nice to share it instead of hiding it away. I remember keeping that locked diary that nobody was ever supposed to see!

That's nice that you earmark your earnings for that great cause.

MyLot is basically all I do, but I have no target. I'm just happy when I have time to be here and visit my friends to see what's going on in their lives.

I think I have surpassed that goal and hope for it to remain like this for as long as it can.

Well I like to get a little for the little I do. I am not so goal oriented these days.
