For the last month or so, I have been waking up earlier and earlier. This morning it was 5 a.m. and I'm ready to start my day... I just don't want to!! That is way too long a day for someone who used to miss lunch on a regular basis in school! It was easy to schedule all my classes in the afternoon and I took full advantage...
Until recently, I was able to sleep in until 8 but it's been a while now. So, I'm turning to you guys. What do you do when you just can't go back to sleep??
Anything but warm milk please... ;)

I used to get on the computer . . . but then I'd remain wide awake and never get back to sleep. These days I know I can eventually get to sleep if I just lay there (as if my body were sleeping anyway) and breathe deeply - might take a while though. I do find that if I exercise during the day more, I can sleep better at night.

@Hate2Iron I hear that over doing it could actually make you too tired to sleep, if that makes any sense. And for some people exercising late in the day could actually energize you more than tucker you out at bedtime. I forgot to mention sometimes I will try to think of the grocery list in my head when trying to sleep . . . that can be quite boring .

When I have trouble getting to sleep anytime I pray. =)
Before Jesus saved me I used to read when I couldn't sleep.

I can't read in bed... have tried, but maybe having a chat just might do the trick. I tend to be doing a lot of that lately. :)

I wonder if having the radio on is something that might work ???

I just get up and maybe catch a nap after lunch if I feel like it. Hopefully others will have better ideas.

Lately I have given up on trying to get my sleep schedule in order. But usually a nice hot shower, or a snack, or some relaxing tea has helped. These days I just stay up and read until I am too tired to make sense of the words.
