Do people make fun of you because you use mylot?

When I am telling to someone that I write here they ask how much I earn, and in how much time. When they hear that I write here for a few cents they make fun of me. People are very interested in money.
This is why I prefer to keep mylot a secret. I don't like when people make fun of me. But the money that I earn here is almost nothing. Some people earn in one hour what I earn here in a month.

No one makes fun of me they know that I am serious about writing and that I write for a lot of different sites and it does not matter how much I make but that I make money and it can build up for me.

because there are people who still believe that actual offline jobs that you go to every day and do the whole day pay better and more dependable/secure.

@dya80dya there are good online jobs, but they require specific skills.

I usually mention that it is like Facebook but better as one is paid a few dollars for having fun.

I would just smile and say: "You spend more time on facebook than I spend on myLot. I got $5 last month. How much did facebook pay you last month?"

I am not on here for the money, I enjoy the interaction, This is not an earning site, the earnings are just a nice addition. People spend hours on Facebook and make not a penny so they should not make fun of you.

@dya80dya That may be true but $5 is hardly life changing and I didn't make payout this month. But I am here anyway

I do not share anyone I am doing mylotting unless those people who become my friends through mylot. Many are not here due to their offline stuffs but they know how and what we can earn here. True it is not big money if we think on money wise. But I am happy on whatever I earn here.

I told them it is not easy money. But having fun plus being paid is something I like.

I'm sorry people make fun of you because you myLot. When someone asks you, tell them it's about the friendships you make here, not about the money.
I don't know anyone who can make in one hour what you make in one month unless you don't spend much time here. I make only a couple of cents an hour. I can make up to a dollar a day, but that's rare.

Getting money for what you write is just a cherry on the cake, actually mylot is a platform to express, share and discuss. Money does matter but I am someone who gives more weight-age to expression. So I have heard similar kind of things from my friends but I have shut them off by saying money is just one thing it's not the only thing

I don't generally tell people about this little activity. But either way, people shouldn't make fun. If you think about it, many more people spend an awful lot of time on places like Facebook and Twitter, and neither of those places pay anything. What little money I earn here is simply money to toss into the savings account. Will it make me rich? Not hardly. But it's still nice to earn a little bit and have fun while doing it.
