Is burqa same as ghoonghat?

These days criminal activities are rapidly increasing and all these are being executed inside the burqa. And here somewhere, Ghoonghat is also being tried to bring under this realm.
Burqa - Worn by Islamic women as their tradition to cover themselves from the public.
Ghoonghat- Though it is traditional but unlike burqa. It is worn to give respect to elders in laws house(husband's house) ..Before marriage girls do not wore ghoonghat in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism.
The thing that brought me up here to write is a news on YouTube, a popular well known Indian lyricist ,screenwriter and a poet, who is keeping his view in front of camera of a news channel.

I think, What Honorable Javed Ji is saying makes little sense. Ghoongat it not just the symbol of gratitude towards elders, it has a bigger domain. May be it differ due to the religious values but ghoongat is also something similar to burkha as women post marriage belongs to a single man, she isn't allowed to show off.
