When I lived with my father we always got fake ones, but now that I live on my own I'll be getting a real tree.

Fake ones.. Real ones are too expensive and damaging to the forest. I can use the fake one every year without fail. :P

I'd have to agree with you...although they do have Christmas Tree Farms on private property. But I think it would be cool to buy a real tree (with roots intact) and then plant it in the ground. What a better way to give and take?..:)

I love real trees the smell of them and stepping on those darn needles just makes it more christmasy! I was bummed out to find that my stepmom only uses fake ones, but they do look just as good. I just love the little extra things that the real ones come with!

Yeah, my father has a really nice one with light already in it. Haha you plug the whole tree into the wall, which is sort of weird. Thanks for your reply.

We have always had a fake Christmas tree. I am hoping that we can start getting real ones after this year though. I love the way the real ones smell and they also look so much nicer.

When growing up we always had a real tree. After my kids were born, they both had allergies, so we had to go with artificial tree. Now that kids are gone and we have 5 indoor dogs and breed dogs, we dont have a tree no more, it wouldnt even last through trying to put one up!! Enjoy your trees all !!!!

I hate fake tree's, what is the point? You don't get the aroma, well you also don't get the mess with a fake. I always buy real one's.

We stopped getting real trees when we had babies, because of the needles - well the kids arent babies no more but we havent gone back to getting a real tree either? I guess its just habit now just to pull the fake tree out of the closet!! I do miss the real trees though, when I was a kid, we always had the real trees!

Thanks for your reply. That's what my parents did. Plus our cats would climb the real trees and knock stuff off.

I get a real one. I love the smell of the pine. My mom has a fake one and it just doesn't seem right to me. It is more fun going out and getting a tree and decorating it

We always got real trees when I was growing up and I'm going to continue getting real trees. I love the smell of them and picking one out and all of that. They're great and just fit in with the season.

I dream of Christmas season with fresh cut pine trees for Christmas trees. With snow in the yard and the family is decorating the tree. These days in the tropical climate, we don't have that.. but i'd rather have the real one.

fake, cheaper in the long run and it is easier to set up. Not to mention that u have to clean up everything and send it back to the dump when u are finished with it
