Beating the Buffet

Happy Monday everyone. I hope the day is treating you well. I'm off work today and not doing too much. I did sweep the house and I'm doing some laundry...and watching videos on youtube. After watching a couple of short journaling videos I found myself watching one called "The 2,000,000 Calorie Buffet" about Buffets in Britain and people who try to "beat" the buffet by getting more than their money's worth. The whole concept of "beating" the buffet confounded me. We all know I'm not a small woman. I'm a fat girl, and fat girl's gonna eat. I do like a buffet, but I've never gone into one thinking....I'm gonna cost these people some money today. Usually I eat about 2 plates worth, and then I have dessert. The most I've eaten is 4 plates. I also go for stuff I like that I don't normally get to eat. Beef and seafoods I like, because I basically live on nothing but chicken at home. The people in the video were eating inhuman amounts of food. Like, 13 to 14 plates of food. I have no clue how someone CAN eat that much all at once. What about you? Do you ever go to buffets? If you go to a buffet do you try to eat them out of their profits just because you can, or do you just eat what you like? What is your favorite foods to eat out (at a buffet or in general)?
These buffet hunters are determined to beat the all-you-can-eat restaurants they visit. In an eating-frenzy hardly seen before, narrator Johnny Vegas guides ...

This is a really stupid way to approach a meal in my opinion. I just can't see anything good about it. Eat as much as you want by all means but to go forcing yourself ..... it's just plain greedy.

This is something gross and stupid, you can die eating so much food and I do not understand the reason to do this. I never go to buffets, if I eat outside I go to a restaurant where I know they serve something I really like and I usually do not prepare at home.

I know the feeling of "getting your money's worth" at a buffet . . . but really it's not sensible eating. I used to have that mentality, but really I can't eat that much anymore - I get super sick if I try to over stuff myself. That being said, we will go to buffets every now and then - I prefer the Asian/Chinese ones that have all the array of meats/seafood.

That would never work for me. I can only eat small amounts at a time. I do not know why. I have been like that all my life. I don't eat much as once.

When I was a fatter girl than I am now I used to go and eat and eat, we all did, especially at the Chinese buffet. I stopped and dropped 40 pounds by not going. I will go to a buffet now but I eat one plate so its a waste of money, So, I will get a go box and fill it, cost about the same as one buffet and I can make 2 meals from it at home. We have a city buffet and western sizzler, about $10 each for dinner. Golden Coral closed down, they wanted $15 plus drink, then you have to tip, for 2 its was to much!

I would eat until my belly screams at me telling me "I can't no more" I would totally hit a buffet. I think I might end up eating 3 plates, but not sure If get there. I am hungry already, ugh!
