Who is a full-time mother here?

Before I decided to become a full-time mom, I worked for years both in the public and private sectors. I gave up my work to focus on taking care of my children. Having experience it myself, I now fully appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of my mom in raising us and all other women who gave up everything for their children, for their family.
It is difficult, really. In fact, if I will be asked, I would say that it is even harder to become a full time mom as compared to when I am still working outside. Being a full time mother is the most difficult, selfless, but fulfilling profession. You work 24 hours, 7 days a week - hardly having any break. You cannot afford to be sick. And, you do not get any monetary pay, except for the hugs and kisses of your children. So yeah, I am proud to become a full-time mother.
Kudos to all those women who gave up their career to take care of their family.

I don’t call it being a full time mom because that term typical means you go to work and work. I’m a stay at home mom. Personal choice for me. It’s a lot of work, because I take care of nearly everything from dinner, to clothes, and taking care of the kids.

@maximaoliveros for some people it’s not a personal choice. Some choice it because for there financially point it also saves them a tone of money in child care which is why I personal choice to not find work once my kids where born.

Yes, a lot of work is actually an understatement of what we do every single day. Lol. But like you, it is also my personal choice. I wish your family and your children all the best!

@ShyBear88 Oh I see. I saw you are in the US. Child care is a lot more expensive in the US as compared here in our country.

It's not easy being a MOM, specially in this millenial generation.

@maximaoliveros mom had spank, and poured candle wax on me just to be disciplined. You can't do hard discipline now a days anymore.

@Letranknight2015 Yes, it is now a big issue nowadays. And honestly, I do not know on where to side on this issue. I think children still need some level of discipline. But of course, I condemn those parents who hurt their children excessively.

I could not agree more with you. Children nowadays are very different as compared to us when we are children. lol

I had my career and such . . . so by the time we were ready to start a family in our later years, I was ready to give family life my all. My mom was a stay at home mom - and now so am I (2 kids and 14 years later). When the kids are older, I'll most likely get back into the working force, but for now I guess I am a full-time mom!

Nice decision. But then I feel like we also need to do some other things to wind up.
