A Momentary Life Thinking

Wrong Turn in Life

Every day is a new random game of chance. Just because your routine may seem set in stone, it does not mean that the morning bus ride may not include an unexpected blow out of a tire. Or that the person who always sits across the aisle from you is not there today... tomorrow... or ever again. Today may be the day of great joy. A pay raise. News of a great event in your family. Somewhere someones child is taking their first step. Anniversaries of great accomplishments are being celebrated. A first kiss is taking place that will forever live in a young girls' heart. Time, moments, memories, are all precious events to take in and enjoy. Slowing down to lose yourself into those moments is the right thig to do. It's okay to appreciate every detail into the hard drive of your brain. From the way a smile forms from one cheek to another, to the smell of the outdoors of the softball field youre playing in the park. Even the smell of bbq smoke and spilt beer from the family reunion. Good, bad, all the events add up to form your memories. Treasure them like a pirate and protect your booty! Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

I do try to savor every moment. And I do tryto at least acknowledge those who are down on their luck. Sometimes I give those off ramp dudes and dudettes Altoids and conversation.

sometimes all they want is to have a chat, a way to take a break from the current events.

Good post, and that first paragraph especially stood out to me. My routine was turned around a bit recently, and I need to learn to go with it.

Hmmm... well, we do know one thing about that photo, Plethos. That isn't you in the photo! I agree. Slow down and smell the roses. You never know when your neighbor might dig up and dispose of the rose bush! And memories is what I'm having trouble with right now... The doctor thinks all the Benedryl I have to take is the cause of the memory loss... but she can't give me anything else that will slow down or stop the allergic reactions, so I'm kinda stuck.

Nice shot. I treasure all my memories especially since my life has changed so much. The funny part is that for some reason some memories begin to come back like some kind of flashbacks suddenly when I see something that reminds me of another time and place.

i find it interesting as to something that is insignificant in the present, can bring up a memory from the past. no relation between the two, just a random memory coming back at you.

Thanks for the very positive vibes you shared here. Beautifully expressed too. Some of it reminds me of the popular meme: "Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen." But, as you said, today might be my last day, or someone else's. It's best to make the most of it!
