An unexpected gift

My friend has bought 7 seasons of Game of Thrones on dvd. She didn't know it, but she had heard many positive things about it. She watched two episodes, and she didn't like it at all.
When I talked to her today she said: "If you are interested I will give you all of the dvds. I don't want them" I didn't plan on watching it , but I knew that my husband would be interested. I asked him and he said: "YES! YES! Please tell her that we would love to have them" He is very excited about it.
Do you still buy dvds or you only watch movies and series online? Did you ever get very disappointed in a dvd you bought?

That's pretty nice. I can not remember when I last bought dvd probably due to lack of time

We have bought some dvds in a second hand store, but we don't really buy new dvds anymore. Sometimes we watch movies at night if we want to relax after a busy day.

@Porcospino When I saw this discussion, I thought if I knew someone in my surroundings who was buying it and nobody thought of me

We have a box full of DVDs, but we don't buy many new ones anymore. The last ones we bought were from a second hand store. They had a lot of DVDs, and we managed to find a few of our favorite movies.

@LadyDuck That is true. Cinema tickets are very expensive today. We don't visit the cinema every often. Sometimes we get a cinema gift card, but the rest of the time we watch movies at home.

@Porcospino Movies on DVDs are very inexpensive now, you pay a lot less than buy two cinema tickets and you can watch the DVD again if you like.

We have a box full of DVDs it is so full that we can't close the lid. We would also find it hard to store more DVDs.

Yes, it is a very nice gift and totally unexpected. My husband is excited, he can't wait to watch it. We don't buy many new dvds, but sometimes we buy cheap dvds at the second hand store (if they have one of the movies we enjoyed in the past)

We don't have a tv, but we watch movies online. We don't have much time for movies either, but sometimes we watch movies on the weekend when we are able to spend more time at home.

We also have Netflix. We use it a lot. Which things do you like to watch on Netflix?
