Nothing for Mother's Day?

My family celebrates and acknowledges every single holiday. We all live in the same area so it isn't difficult to get together. That's why I'm SHOCKED that no one has planned anything for Mother's Day tomorrow.
Last year I hosted a brunch at our house for my parents and my sister, her husband, and their children. That isn't an option here in the apartment so I didn't offer to do it. . . and apparently no one else thought to plan anything either.
I guess I'll just go buy flowers and drop them off for my mother and sister tomorrow morning. Honestly I'm kind of relieved that I won't have to sit through a family affair. They are very hard for me these days.

Well, my mother passed nine years ago and my son does not do much for me maybe some flowers or something. So, I am not doing much, myself for mother's day.

@NJChicaa Hopefully, the sun will come out and I can be outside. We have had too much rain here.

We may go have our zoo trip tomorrow, the weather is clearing off. My mom and Bob's mom are deceased. My kids never do anything for me. My daughter in law might. Bob knows that it depresses me, but they just are not the type to do a lot of celebrating.

This is uncommon, most people think of something special to do on 'Mother's Day.' Last year, Chad(my son) forgot to call me. So this year, he called me today(Saturday)and said that he'd be calling again tomorrow! I guess he's fixing a boo-boo, that I'd almost forgotten about! lol Taking flowers over for your mother&sister, is a very thoughtful idea

@NJChicaa Yes, I guess Chad is trying to make up for his mistake, from last year:)

When my mom was alive and we lived in NYC I always did two things on Mothers Day. I gave her flowers and took her out..

Maybe people get tired of celebrating all the times, right? But I guess tomorrow you guys will come up with a meeting or brunch. Why not?
