National Dance like a Chicken Day!

Okay, what???? Why is there even a day for this what is the reasoning behind that.
This day is observed on May 14th. It’s a silly days and song. The song was written in 1950’s by Werner Thomas. It’s been rumored it was written as a drinking song which makes sense for Oktoberfest. The song and dance didn’t make it to the United States till the 1970’s. By then when it go to the United States dance moves started to be created.
Just so you know I don’t think anyone actually celebrates it but plenty of people still know and do the dance of the chicken dance. Even my kids know how to.
