I am definitely NOT like this anymore but I used to have this notion that if I haven’t seen or experienced something then it’s not 100% true. One example is when someone claims to have drank too much and didn’t know what they are doing anymore. I have gone through hangover before but I didn’t get to the stage where I don’t know what I’m doing anymore. Little less control of my actions yes but never unaware.
I just thought of this while at work this morning. I promised myself not to think like this anymore.

Forgetting what one does from overdrinking is possible. They call it a blackout. A blackout is amnesia for the events of any part of a drinking episode without loss of consciousness. It is characterized by memory loss of certain things you did or said.
Of course, its also true you can't believe everything you hear, especially from news programs.
