Do You Think Social Media Should Get Rid of Likes All Together

Someone proposed this interesting question to me. It does seem like people like getting likes, like, totally dude! That was me being obnoxious. How many times can I put "like in a sentence? Anyway, just looking through my email and saw Mylot paid me and another payment came in early. Was happy, and first time I did anything for company. Always good when something new is not a scam and actually pays you what they say they would if you did what they wanted. At end of payment said "please be sure to Like us on Facebook and visit us on Yelp and Google." I think corporations definitely would hate if the Like Button would disappear and I know one other person who would absolutely hate it. Trump would hate it, has to get that self aggrandizing fake love from people to make him feel important. I have been using Reddit more than Facebook lately. They do not have a place where you can like someones post or comment, but they use a point system on the quality of post or said comment. It looks like it works well. People sound less hateful, put more thought into their comments/posts and sound way more rational. Conversations can go on for a long while too. It must be a damn Lefty hippy social media site. What do you think? Would you be mad if social media in general accidentally lost their "like" button?

I wouldn’t be mad, but where will all the fun be?

I think they can do other things to keep it fun like Reddit's point system, but then people would argue that is bias. People like to argue over everything, you ever notice that? I could careless either way to be honest. Not all that life changing from my angle whether they have it or do not.

True, it is easy to see other people’s mistakes like we would have done it better! It happens!

I place a like when I can also answer a post and stamp my ideas.

@crossbones27 I don´t even read those posts that don´t interest me. Even if my friends have written them.

Losing the like button on a social media site is like Superman losing his powers of flight, strength and speed.

I think you may be right my brother super powers would be gone and maybe I would like the no like button because I hardly ever get likes. They would all be down to my level.
