The summer will be here again and ever since my life turned upside down one summer I am not looking forward to all the memories. However, I will still do my best to get through the summer. It made me think of the song “If I Could Turn Back Time” by Cher. I realized that no matter what lies ahead, no matter how much we might want to recapture some memories, no, in no way can turn back time. All we can do is accept what is and go forward. “If I Could Turn Back Time” was recorded by Cher in 1989 and is on her album Heart of Stone. This song was written especially for her by Diane Warren. The song rose to number one in Australia and Norway and was on the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K. It became her second consecutive solo number one hit on Billboards Adult Contemporary chart. The track was later certified Gold. And to think that at the beginning Cher was considering turning down this song. Who knows and likes this song?
