I saw on the news yesterday that a man had attacked a woman at the park where I usually walk. She said he sneaked up and grabbed her from behind. She was able to fight him off and called 911. The odd thing is when she got back to the park she saw him there. She snapped a picture of him and they showed it on the news. it's hard for me to imagine how he got to the park before she did. I wonder if she made the story up.
I walked there today but I only went half way in the woods and circled around twice to keep from going on the loneliest part of the trail. I was a little uneasy
but I didn't see anyone that looked suspicious. In any case if it happened I don't believe that guy will be seen at the park again.

@crazyhorseladycx It's better to be safe than sorry. It's best not to take chances. And I don't intend to.I hadn't thought a bout mace.

Maybe he didn't think she would come back and was waiting for another victim? Keep an eye out. Maybe they will do an update with further information on what happened.

No, it was during the day. I couldn't understand why she would go back to the park after being attacked. I don't believe I would have been there looking for the guy to take his picture. I'd like to hear what happened when the police got there.

It could be dangerous if there's such people like that in the park. Better carry something to protect you like a pepper spray.

O@acelawrites, it's better to have companions in passing or going to a park especially in the late afternoon, where passers are rare.

Sounds a little strange and like a story I heard here of a woman grabbed from behind while walking and then saw the man and he was later arrested.
Seems to be a lot of this stuff going on , everywhere.

Hold on something I don't understand. He attacked her and she got away. Then she returned to the park to find him there and took his photo. Something does not sound right because if that happened to me I would never go back to that park again. Is this the story?

That's scary. My Mom never learned to drive so she of course walked everywhere. We were out on a hike one afternoon, Mom and I, and suddenly she started to cry. She let it out that some nasty man had run up to her and slapped her glasses off her face as she walked home from work one day. My Mom was so sturdy and strong and yet there she was, kind of crumpled as she told me her story.

That's what i thought. She said she called the police and he should have known she would. Surely he wouldn't wait around until they got there. But she snapped a picture of the man she said did it. I looked at the picture carefully so I'll recognize him if I ever see him.

Sadly nowhere is safe these days. Did she make up the story? Did/will she ruin his life? The picture was on the news--he will be arrested--keep up with the story and let us know.

I don't see how she would know who it was if he grabbed her from behind. And yeah I wouldn't go back there if I was attacked.
