Possible Spoilers! - I watched the last episode of Game of Thrones and I was so disappointed with all of it really. But it doesn't surprise as this last season was completely disappointing.
So not sure how many of you agree but I will tell you what was disappointing to me without giving any spoilers out on the last episode.
I watched from the beginning and really enjoyed the story, the characters developed what I felt was fairly natural for a fantasy story. The story worked well and made sense. The acting for the most part was outstanding. The visuals we very good the twists and turns made sense and were exciting.
The problem, I seen started about season 5 just a few things here and there but then fell apart for season 8. You can see so clearly how they were rushing to get things done and so much didn't make sense.
Brann has done a whole lot of nothing this last season, could they not give him something to do that would have mattered? During the fight of "The Long Night" he did nothing but sit there. With all the commanders the Living had the worse possible strategy they could have possibly put together. They had the cavalry attack head on, they most of the army outside the castle and even out front of the fire trench. Why have two dragons randomly flying around looking in the storm for one dragon when you could have taken out so many of the undead.
It was the worse defensive planning someone could imagine. Weren't these people veterans of fighting each other over and over again and none of them thought this was a bad plan?
There is so much wrong I can't even cover it all. Euron teleports all over the world always being in the right place at the right time. He hit the one dragon with the Scorpion crossbow thing. He hit is 3 times in a row without missing. Then the last episode he can't hit is nor can all his other ships hit with just one shot. Makes no sense.
I wont go on more here, I just have to say it was so disappointing that they screwed this last season so bad.
What did you think about it? Was there anything that really stood out to you as a complete screw up?

I am going to be among the responders who will say that they never have watched the show. Well, I think I may have seen a scene or two at some point. It sounds as if perhaps they were having problems with the writers, or else creativity in general. Do you think that there will ever be a chance of a reboot?

Yea, I think the writers screwed it up. The guy who wrote the books still has not finished them and when the show went past the part of his writings the writers for HBO screwed it up. Not sure they will ever reboot it, if they do I'm guessing it will be years from now.

@Bensen32 Probably after the books are finished, but then they'd probably have to do some back pedaling / storyline fixing.
It might be more hassle than it's worth.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, and they might need all new actors if it take them years to get around to it.

I have only watched this a few times but plant to binge watch the whole thing, from front to end. So I did not read your post, but what the hell, I will comment and like it anyways.

They did rush the ending... The book isn't even finished yet so I'm still hoping for a better ending, somehow.
