OOTD

Well, not all of us knows what OOTD stands for.
I didn’t know it too , before. But because it is usually what is requested of us high school batchmates, whenever we gather, I came to know what it is.
It stands for Official Outfit for the Day.
Actually, whenever we will gather, we have the color of the OOTD. Though sometimes, when it is done after office hours in a restaurant , I usually would be the odd one because I am in our uniform.
The one I find difficult though is the floral motif for the OOTD. Good thing, I have an old one in the closet.
The collage of pictures shows, the different colors of our OOTD , whenever we gather.
I suppose, you also follow the color of the OOTD whenever there is a clan reunion , homecoming or burial to attend.

You simply are enjoying the OOTD there since you can somehow loosen from daily dress you wear at work and be free to wear the official outfit. I think your group is really that organized that you are having this dress code to follow every time you are to meet together. That may be fun but can be costly especially if the designated outfit is not in your wardrobe and will have to buy to conform.

Yes, I admit that it can be costly. Though, for some it is. But I have every color. I wear my t-shirt if I don't have the color in my blouses.
We are organized because we have our chosen president for here in Legazpi and one also for those in Manila and from abroad. We also have our treasurer who reports the expenses and the donations that were sent by those from abroad.

The only time I've really seen that is for the kids at school . . . there are certain "dress up" days - and sometimes us parents will participate if we feel like it. On Mondays, the kids at my son's school try to wear a particular blue (school color) and they get a ticket for a drawing for participating. College day, sports day, super hero day, pajama day, etc. But I think for most adults at events, here they like to be individuals - so no dress code for the most part.

@SIMPLYD I actually wouldn't mind if my circle of people would like to do a dress up code of some sort . . . I would be up for the challenge. I try to keep my wardrobe varied - with all sorts of styles, colors, and patterns - but I don't have everything. I remember last year for my son's school olympics, his grade color was yellow. I had to go buy a yellow shirt because I had no yellow!

Yes, those for the kids and students activities require a certain color of their OOTD.
Actually, when the color of the OOTD is being voted on , I would at first don't like because I don't have that color. Besides, sometimes I don't like wearing some colors like Red.

Thank you for liking the photos.
Actually, there are a lot of abbreviations the young people have, that I don't know of. Good thing, I can always ask my millenial officemates.
Sometimes hubby and I would by chance, wear the same color of clothing. Twinning as they say.

No. Our hs batchmates, started gathering and also attending our Alma Mater's yearly homecoming although we weren't jubilarians, on the 25th year after we graduated from high school.
It is just fortunate that one of us, who is already a doctor, is so patient enough to look for everyone of us both from abroad, Manila and here , through relatives and common friends and then the social media.
Thus when gathered through the social media, she was voted to be the president.
From then on, everyone would contact her specially for those coming home from abroad, when they want a gathering in a restaurant of somewhere nice to chat and eat.

@JustBhem Actually, I hate it when they want a certain color to be worn sometimes. That's because, I am not in the mood to wear such color. I pretend that I don't have the color. I will wear whatever color I want.
Besides, i find it corny, since we are already old people yet we still have those.

Yes, there was one here too, who used to post about her OOTD.
At first I didn't understand it.
Gatherings always require OOTD, for easy identification of the group.

Not really but I have seen some groups that do. Most of my reunions every body wore what they like but of course casual and formal depending upon the activity.

@Tonietta why didn't you adapt what they are using as a means of communication with everyone.
For us we have a chatroom for all batchmate here in Bicol then another for everyone from abroad , Manila and Legazpi. That way, we are all in connection with everyone at anytime.

That looks very festive. Does someone send an email with the color? Who decides what you all will wear?

We have our chat room for our HS batchmates based here in Legazpi City.
It is always initiated by the president of our batch. She will recommend what color and ask for votes of what color to wear for our gathering. Majority wins.
