Looking at the radar, I’m uncertain about whether we’ll get the weekly tournament in without rain. But hey, it rained Friday during practice and Sunday as soon as the tournament ended, so why not? We are better than cloud seeders at bringing rain! Anyway, here’s another 1979 song.
#8: Just Another Night - Ian Hunter
I. Love. This. Album.
The powerhouse opening track from Ian Hunter’s terrific album with the funny title is one of the reasons. Add to it “Ships,” “Cleveland Rocks,” “B*stard,” “Standing in My Light,” and a few others....
I had this song going in my head on those early-morning runs around the grinder in boot camp. Nothing like having a rocking tune playing in your head to keep you awake and focused on your goal!

I once had the Welcome to the Club live album on vinyl.
All the way from Louisville not Memphis!
