Farm Simulation Games....

I've done a fair bit of farm work over the years, mostly when I was young. I have helped friends do their farm chores so they could be done faster and we could go do something fun. I've helped friends set up their hobby farms. I've even drove tractors for Del Monte Corporation harvesting fields. I've also played a few Farm Simulation Games.
Of course, they are just games so they can only be so close to the real thing. There won't be sweat or blood, dead animals simply disappear, and there are no high boots needed for mucking out barns.
But the biggest thing I notice about what the Farm Sims are lacking, until they make one where you're spending an significant amount of time, money and and resources trying to keep up with (and comply with) government regulations they aren't even coming close. They aren't simulating anything about real farm life. ;~)

I played Farmville for a while and it was fun but it got repetitive after a while and I couldn't get used to having animals like zebras. Outside of zoos, you just don't see many zebras here.

Yeah, once you set up your farm and have it looking nice and running, they do get repetitive. The only way to "lose" is to not play often enough to keep your crops and animals alive. There might be some that go as far as storms and blights killing off crops and livestock though. I haven't played them all.

@ParaTed2k I only played the one. And another problem was that it was a constant source of viruses.

It's not a specific game, there are many Farm Sims. But yeah, I enjoyed farm work when doing it too.
