2019 Health Journey -- Day 144 (May 24th)

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great day! Back to share my food/health post for the day.
Blood sugars:
Fasting ~ 181
Meal 1~ 120
Meal 2 ~ 124
Meal 3~ 75
Meal 1 --
This was more of just a snack...wasn't too hungry.
I had 3 slices of deli turkey and 1 string cheese stick
Meal 2 --
I did have some carbs at this meal; still stayed fairly low carb.
I had a hamburger patty, cheese slice and 1 slice of bread.
I also had some chocolate pudding (not sugar free) with a few marshmallows.
My sugar was not too horrible after this surprisingly.
Meal 3 --
Back to low carb at this meal.
I had some pepperoni chips (just pepperoni microwaved for 30 seconds) and a cheese stick.
Followed by "dessert" - AKA my peanut butter & butter mixture.

Calories: 1,395
Protein: 60
Fat: 98
Net Carbs: 48
So, more than the 20 net carbs I like to be at....but didn't do horrible I don't think.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yeah, but the scale bounced upward again. I don't understand it when I'm not eating anything that should cause weight gain.

Around 50 is still considered low carb though, so that's not horrible. Today I've had more carbs probably...but sugar was okay again.
Sounds like you did good, and had some tasty meals!

Well, today I didn't have a low carb meal, but I ate a small portion so my sugar was good after.
that sounds like a delicious meal!

Looking at your meals, for me as asian, these are so light. They wont make you gain weight. Because they are just snacks to us.
Here we eat, meats and rice.
In fact, in one meal,we have meat, fish, and another dish of meat then rice.
Just like today, i had rice, pork steak, noodles and yogurt as my dessert. This was my lunch alone.

They do seem more like snacks since I don't really have "sides" since I can't have my potatoes. I am okay with that though as long as I eat more than 1,200 calories.
Not sure I would be able to eat all of that since I do eat smaller "meals". But if that is what you enjoy eating then that is great!

@MommyOfEli2013 yes. I try to eat small portions but i easily get hungry. But with carb my intake is small only that my body loves meat
