Do you save money for your future? For what are you saving?
Do you know of ways to increase your money, like time deposits? Please share your money saving tips here.
I am trying to save some money for a house or a business, but I just can't find the discipline to stop spending. Can anyone help?

I too save mine money. But i am n't saving them ofr my future bcuz my Parents r looking after me and i do n't have any tension about my future related to money. Personally, i like to save money. As Parents take them from me sometimes and then i force them to give my money back as soon as possible. I've received $13.43 from mylot so i'll suggest only mylot till now.

If you are having trouble saving money try this. Give it to a close friend or relitive and have them keep it. Then when you need it they can give it to you IF you really need it. You could also get a CD or a time savings. they are great.

Currently, I only have a savings ATM account. But it is so accessible, I can use it to spend on my my shopping! hahaha lol
I would really like to open a time deposit, this way I won't touch the money until a certain time. Yet to open one, you need a huge amount of money.
Thanks for your comment...

yes, jillan, i do save money. i set aside at least 10% of my net salary. if you're a big spender or someone who likes to buy things even it they're not that necessary, i suggest that during paydays, you close your eyes and take a little something from your pay. having insurance is a form of saving, depositing money in the bank is another although, personally, i think it yields very low interest.

I'm saving up for several things in life. My gf lives in the Philippines and I live in Scandinavia. I like us to be able to both live together and travel to visit each other's families. Her son's school also has to be paid and my daghter's studies too.
Finally, of course for both mine and my gf's (hopefully) early "retirement". So saving up is really necessary. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to work from home and make some money through the Internet. I save for my tuition fee in school. I save for my necessity in school and for my future. I don't want to be poor all my life. I know if I invest in education I can have a brighter future. So that is what I am saving for. I am saving for my text books, and things for school. Thank you.

Yes I save money for use after retirement. By way of : insurance, mediclaim policy, pension scheme, some through monthly deposit scheme in bank to meet any emergency eventualities. House is the best option in todays world. Its cost increases day by day.

try to separate your money. example for expense and for saving. once you separate your money for your saving dont touch or use it. try to set a minimum amount for your savings. for example 40% of your income per month.

I believe that the most important thing to remember when it comes to saving is "self-control". You must learn how to control youself when spending. Before spending or buying something, ask yourself first this question, "Do I really need this?" Remember that a "need" is very different from a "want". Note that something that you just "want" may interfere with your future goal like owning a house or a business.

I have also been trying to save money since I started working but it seems that it is really difficult save if there is always the temptation to spend. Im trying to save for my future because I'd like to have my own bussiness as early as possible so that I could retire early once I have a stable source of income besides my work.
