Decided last minute to take a road trip back to CO for the Memorial weekend and the drive was a little nerve wracking on the way up. Had to drive through a huge storm where the winds were crazy wild and the rain was so hard. When I got to CO I found out I drove through a storm system with tornado's in it, who knew since it was the middle of the night and I couldn't see them.
Got where I was going safely and had a great time with my family and friends. I really thought about not coming back but, here I am.
On the way back, it was the weirdest trip of all. No storms, clear all the way so thought I had it made, until the birds went suicidal on me.
Here I am travelling down a highway when what do I see ahead.......is that a TURKEY? Yep, sure enough, a turkey was running across the highway. Those little buggers are fast, I was so glad he made it. Down a little further, not a turkey but a skunk running across the other way. Sure didn't want to hit that one.
As I continued my trip, two, count them, two birds flew right into my windshield and bounced themselves over the top of my car. I was so sad because I hate the thought of killing anything. Then as I am going down a two lane highway, almost home, a HUGE bird comes from the field on my right and flies right into the side of my car right above the back door. OMG, it hit the car so hard that it scared me and I let go of the wheel!!! My grandson grabbed the steering wheel and said "grandma, never let go of the wheel, your gonna kill us". Hes 15 and just got his permit.
I was never so glad to get home as I was that night, I am thinking the full moon made all the birds crazy or something, what else could it have been??

That is very scary. I am glad you made it to CO. Do you still mist CO or are you happy in Texas? Maybe the full moon did do that and something happened to them to behave the way they did. I hope I wrote what I wanted to say. I am very tired and want to finish up and go to bed because another very busy day.

I miss CO so much and wish I could move back but I have to stay here. I don't like Texas, its just not home to me and as hard as I try I can't make it so. Thank you for writing Hanni, I know how hard you have been working lately and hope you can get everything done by the move. Once you are moved, take a couple of days for yourself and rest. Only take out what you will need immediately and the rest can wait till your rested. Be safe my friend.

@Hannihar I hate the heat here, it is miserable for me in the summer months, the bugs are huge and all over along with tarantulas, scorpions and I don't know how many different types of wasps they have. Terrifying
I am glad you took care on the Sabbath, I know that had to be a big move for you. Do you still have your scooter?

I am sorry you are not happy in Texas and miss CO very much and cannot go back there. What is it that you really do not like about Texas? I wish We moved on Thursday and no computer and no TV so had lots to get done and I took care on our Sabbath.

Oh my goodness between the storm and the weird animal behavior. I wonder if it was the full moon like you say. I know that it sorta sounds like how animals behave at eclipses
