Now I really find this hard to believe it has now been 37 yrs, but I graduated from High School in 1982. I know it's been awhile and there are a lot of us who have probably not heard from anyone in yrs. Some of us have kept in contact and are still Best friends. But I guess I never felt like I'm old. But looking back we learned so much more than what kids now a days at 17 and 18 know. It is sad watching some of them, and seeing how much they still need to learn about life. This is before the Computer age to where everyone worked outside or played outside and life was fun. Sometimes I wish I could go back but then even with all my Health problems, heartaches, etc look what I would have missed. ~~TINA~~

todays young'uns jest shock me to no end't what simple life skills most lack. back'n the day, our folks/family/neighbors taught's the basics 'n then we'd that wonderful home ec 'n health classes, 'long with general auto maintenance'n such. i've a cousin who jest graduated with a masters degree'n engineerin'. whilst i'm proud 'f his 'ccomplishments, he still cannot tell time'n a real clock.... jest recall that all the hills'n valleys we've been through made's stronger. i'm with ya though, 'n'd love to be without the health hiccups.

Yes, it is Sad the way these kids are. Saying at 18 they are too young to be on their own. Many even want their kids now to wait before going to school and might even discourage most of them from even trying. So what does this mean? Get a low min wage job and never apply yourself?

@crazyhorseladycx I have often wondered why more Trade schools are never mentioned? There are a lot of good ones here in this area and know people that have gotten Good jobs because of them, and they are so much cheaper.

@KrauseHome i'm thinkin' most're burnt out'n schoolin' these days coz they start 'em out when they'd jest be 3. perhaps if'n they'd prolong that college fer a year 'n 'd to work those minimum wage payin' jobs, they'd be more 'nclined to go to a trade school/'r get that college degree 'n 'pply 'emselves so'd they succeed. 's 't stands, many go to college 'n either flunk out the 1st semester 'r get degrees 'f not much use'n this world. left with mountin' debt 'n still no job.

This post is exactly for me. If only I could turn back the hands of time when I was still healthy. Thanks for sharing.

If we could all turn back the hands of time I am sure a lot of us would have done things a lot differently.

I agree. Life was better before the computer age. People had fun - face to face fun.

Yes and life seemed not as hectic then as it is now. Ya we can make better money now, but a lot of people are less creative in coming up with new ways how to earn something.

So many things have happened Good and Bad. Eventually would Love to Write some books to help try and Inspire those who have or are facing some of those challenges, and how I have learned to overcome them even with all the negatives.
