While I was a kid, I always used to tell my Mom that I need music while studying. Though at that time I didn't know the logic, it was just because it won't be that boring to study with music around.
But according to recent research music has effects on our heart rate, blood pressure and mood.
I am sure not every kind of music can be considered as a healing one but yes may be some kind.
Do you think the same...???
What kind of music comforts you...???

It depends on the music, you are listening to. It has been proven that music affects the way we think. So, yes, I do depend on what you are listening to.

I totally agree with it. In the Montessori school where I worked we always play a sooth instrumental in the morning that is relayed through out the school.
In my elder one's school, they play gayatri mantra and few other shlokas. It's a soothing music and it is there till afternoon.
