Some people like Live Stream chats but some think it is too unstructured.

In my experience, for the past few months, interacting Live on YouTube chat has been a good experience for the most part, but some who are on camera, feel like the value of the commentary is watered down and not worth saving for future reference. If you ever had a chance to interact in a Live chat session, especially on YouTube, you will find that it can be both bitter & sweet, a blessing and a curse. We are in an age where the new wave of social media will be more like YouTube live streaming using such apps as Skype or some other app, allowing multiple users to interact with one another, in real time, seeing themselves on the computer screen like windows into other people's lives, which will of course be a challenge to those who tend to like to keep their personal lives separate from their public lives. I can see some advantages of it and I know there are those who prefer not to appear in a visual, but simply appear in text boxes giving their bits of personal or trivial information, for better or for worse, to add to the social experience. It is a new phase in social media that has been going on lately that I think more and more, as people grow accustomed to the way things are done in this manner, that will make television obsolete and change the way people look at each other in the virtual spaces we have created, like small interactive communities based on like minded people. Groups like this one, and groups like the ones on YouTube will grow in greater number and the lines between celebrity and every day people will become more and more faded as the connection between cultures all over the planet will merge into a symbiosis of diversity of human perspective that has never before been experienced thanks to computers, the internet and the instant in which people all over the planet can come together and see things from many different vantage points.

They are trying to get more people to go this way. Yeah, writing works so well with how rude people, video, going to make them all go in their corner so much more. I do surveys from time to time and there is a survey site that pays people 50 to 60 bucks to do surveys on video. Nope, sorry, not comfortable. Then next thing you know they see piddly bs surveys come do our survey we give you a 1.50 instead of a dollar for only 30 minutes of your times. I am like the survey company up above gives you 50 or 60 for 20 minutes, What the hell is wrong with people?

@lookatdesktop I cannot wait to get that point again. I hate this we think we are beter than you here is a buck for your trouble. Sad thing is could be right they better than me, but what if others can improve this world in such a way they never have to worry again, but will not happen because they saw a man doing a survey for a dollar. Can't be that big time.

I used to do live on location opinion polling for cash. No more today. I only do quality feedback surveys with companies I purchase items from for customer feedback. Have a good one Crossbones.

I stay away from chatting with strangers online on social media. I have never tried YouTube live chat either. Yes, I do use Skype and WhatsApp to chat with few friends and family at the same time. My brother and cousins love to chat in multiple windows on WhatsApp when we want to discuss some plan.

That is best. For me, I only do it with a few who are doing work for the purpose of informing on topics of interest I believe in. I do it sparingly and only now and then. And I think you are smart to not chat with perfect strangers. Thanks for your comment, Arunima.

I do not go on camera. I merely interact once I become familiar with the people based on the subject of their interest and their basic nature. I do not interact with just any group. I first look into their mind set, their format. If they are intelligent people, discussing matters that interest me, I will sometimes try to interact in real time and it has worked well for me. Here is an article on the subject that explains it better than I can. But I do not look at it as that article does, as a way to build up business revenue, rather I think of it as a way to strengthen human relationships on a global level that will enhance personal social relationships and make life in the 21st century virtually unlimited in it's humanitarian scope.
