What do You do with Legos?

Lego "Big"

I have had a life long love affair with those stud topped bricks with the locking cylinders hiding inside. I never did get into the models, so I didn't bother with the prefab stuff. I like just the regular (and irregular) bricks. When I was a kid I made the requisite houses, cars, barns, etc. however after a while those got boring. I wanted to see how far I could push the Lego envelope. As you can see from the pic, I accomplished my goal. I'm not sure what to call these things, my kids just call them "bigs". A term my oldest came up with when he was 3, and it just kind of stuck. My kids loved it when I built them because, well... after they stood a few days, the kids got to knock them down. Then they helped find all the Legos in every nook and cranny in the room so we could put them away (and keep them from getting underfoot). ;~) They were usually around 3 to 4 feet tall, and I think the biggest one was 3 feet wide. They were a lot of fun to make, but took major concentration and fine motor skills. Many of them never made it to be smashed up by the kids. A slip of my own fingers often brought them crashing down. As you can see I put them together in pretty precarious angles and arrangements. Sorry the pic is so fuzzy.

Mostly step on them, and hurt my feet! Fortunately, I don't have any kids that leave legos laying around now.

Yes I did, and many others. I'm thinking I need to drag my Legos out and make them again.

Thanks, it's a lot of fun, but a little nerve wracking at the same time.

It sounds like combined the fun of Legos with the challenge of Jenga.
