Since I don’t drink milk I have to have my husband and kids test it when it gets close to the date or on or even after. Normally the milk is gone before it expires as well as before it goes bad. It’s supper rare that I had to dump what is left of the like.

For me "the nose knows". I don't throw away any food until my nose tells me to. Actually my wife's nose, hers is a lot more sensitive than mine.

Expired milk I think it's unhealthy and also dangerous to be a food poisoning also

I check the quality of the milk along with the date. I have had milk past the expiration date and was fine but I also had milk go bad before the date as well. When I worked in the grocery store, I would drink some of the milk that they were planning to throw away for the expiration date. Sometimes, I would buy the close dated milk myself. The cashier would be concerned but I drink at least at gallon of milk a day so milk doesn't even last long in my house.
