Coping up with very hot weather

Summers mean high temperature, and harsh sunlight. However, there is a range of temperature above which even those familiar with high temperatures find it difficult. So with mercury crossing 46 C, it is very tough time. I was outside today for some time. I had a water bottle with me and wearing a cap. However, I could feel discomfort. I cannot even imagine the plight of those people like workers at the construction sites who have to face high temperatures. May be we can have an daily afternoon off time, like the Siesta being followed in Spain, and some extra hours during the evening. I would like to get the views especially of those facing very high temperatures.

How hot is it at your end? How is your knee pain? Did you get Ostocalcium? Vitamin D is extremely essential.

@didinedhia in some very hot countries, there is something known as Siesta which means 2 to 3 hours off during hot afternoon.

Phew...that is simply too hot...and I am told next year Hyderabad may witness that along with water shortage. That would be so bad! I think maximum we experienced was 45 degrees. I was down with sunstroke for almost 10 days. Last year also I suffered it. But it was not as bad as it has been this time. May be I don't recall it exactly. :) But this time, dad combed my hair, placed stool for three days in bathroom to help me brush. Hands were shaking no strength.

@vandana7 you need to start saving for some Super-Strong AC. Or try to illegally migrate to Siberia!!

With temperatures at 46C I don't see how anyone can be productive outside. Closing everything up for a while sounds a good idea.

@Aansh13 Yeah and I feel that if we put some rice or other veggies outside, and leave for sometime, they would automatically get cooked.

Yes, it is also a matter of thinking about the way in which Labour is working in the sun.

@Starkinds in construction and other companies which are a bit concerned about their workforce, we might see that workers could be working more in early Morning or late evenings. However, most are unconcerned and let their workforce work in harsh sun.
