Have you experienced feeling guilty for no reason at all?

Guilt is supposedly a feeling we experience when we do something wrong to someone and then we regret it. However, lately, for some reason I'm feeling guilty because of losing feelings for someone who I'm not in a relationship with but we are good friends. I myself am confused because he didn't tell me he likes me in that way but for some reason, I still feel guilty. Does anyone have the same experience and if so what could be the reason of the guilt?
