Who here has perfect grammar?

I can't say that my grammar is perfect - I don't believe anyone's grammar can be 'perfect', as a matter of fact - though English Language was my best subject at school. Mistakes here don't bother me too much: one has to remember that, for most people here, English is not their first language and the Guidelines specifically forbid us to criticise users for bad or broken English, though that doesn't prevent us from helping when asked to do so!
I believe that the best way to learn good English is to read widely and to read aloud as often as possible. If something doesn't feel 'right' when read aloud, it's quite often not good English and could usually be rephrased to make the sense clearer. For those people whose first language is not English, it helps to find a recording of a good speaker reading good English - a classic novel, for example.
