Trust issues...

My best friend lied to me, I know his intentions weren't wrong, he loves me the same... But he did lie... I felt bad, really bad, but somehow I chose to forgive him because I value our friendship more than anything else. Now, I really don't know how to trust him. It hurts me, that I won't be able to trust him the same way. Back of mind I will always have this running, that he lied ...

Trust once broken then can't repair it, said but true.

I can understand you, I've been betrayed multiple times by different person, so I never treated them as same as before

Yes... This is an issue... You just can't treat them same... Your mind and heart rehearses the same betrayal....

@Aansh13 Yeah you're right! They gave you lots of pain inside of yourself that's why we change everything on how we treat them, I even barely talk to my friends because I don't know if I can trust them or not.

It takes a great courage and big heart heart to forgive! You will feel better after forgiving the guilty! Please forgive and forget ....kindly don't brood on the issue! Life is short, enjoy it! Leave no scope for complaints in life!

@Aansh13 Did he tell you himself that he lied to you? It is hard to get trust back if someone lies. Can you still be friends with him? Do you think in time you mind trust him again? He has to prove his trust to you again.

Can understand you very well. But no one is perfect in this world. Even we have to lie in some situations, may be to protect someone. So don’t feel bad, take it easy. Don’t honk much about anything.

It is hard to regain the trust, once it's betrayed

Sometimes despite moving on it is really hard to let go of things. Out of the thousand things the other person did great, we tend to remember the deceit, lies, and hypocrisy. It is sad but true!

But really speaking... In context to him... I am feeling better... He explained his action and I trust him once again without even an inch of doubt...

Give him one chance to rectify his lie. And tell him not to do the same as once trust will finished, everything will going to be change.
